Dr. George Guthrie serves as the Benjamin W. Perry Professor of Bible at Union University in Jackson, TN. A respected New Testament scholar, he has a passion for helping church leaders and laypeople learn to engage God's powerful, life-changing Word more effectively. The author of a dozen books and architect of the Read the Bible for Life curriculum, Dr. Guthrie has written widely on Bible interpretation and application. Together, Dr. Guthrie and Pat, his wife of more than a quarter century, have traveled across North America and around the world teaching fellow Christians. Dr. and Mrs. Guthrie attend Northbrook Church in Threeway, TN, which they helped plant over twenty years ago. They have two grown children, Joshua and Anna.
